TLDR; Stay away. I’ve lived in Norway for 5 years but this place clearly tops the list of the worst dining experiences we have had. I won’t mention the fact that it took nearly 50 minutes to get a table, that’s understandable for drop-in on Saturday, the looks on the faces of other frustrated customers who had to wait for 30-40 minutes to get their bills and simple deserts… The “premium” burgers we got for nearly $35 each were clearly made of the cheapest kjøttdeig from Rema, the patties weren’t seasoned at all, red meat was clearly visible. The bread was so watery that it was a challenge to even start it. At least I had two beers before. No one asked how are we liking the food, that’s the standard part of waiters script. The only good thing was the view.
Very tasty food and super nice service. The ambience with a view above the water is also very pretty. The freshly caught fish, on this day cusk, was very good. Same for the side dishes and also the fresh bread that was served as an appetizer. Highly recommend! :)
Beautifully situated directly above the water. Probably the best view in town. Good atmosphere with candles. We had fish, Gnocchi, as well as special beers from the brewery situated there (mango & lime). They bring fresh and warm bread as a starter. Prices and service were very good contrary to my prior experience in Norway.
I loved the lamb dish at Bryggeriet restaurant! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Everything smiling, like the dish in photo😊
This restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, impeccable service, and a chic ambiance, making it a standout dining destination in the heart of the city.
Last minute table booking on an incredibly busy day (Bergen Marathon). The food, service and entire experience was amazing. Shout out to Evalina our waitress who was brilliant. Recommend the beer flight and dishes of the day.
As others have stated, the view is amazing! The fish and chips and mussels were delicious! The mussels had a very creamy, flavorful sauce. Nice beer flight and virgin mojito. But the real winner was a quiet little item on the bottom of the menu that would easily be missed—the grilled vegetables! They were perfectly caramelized and so so delicious. Make sure you add them on to whatever you order!
Super spot to have a drink or food overlooking the harbor. We had a flight, mixed drinks, and lunch while avoiding the rain that came in over the lunch hour. It was quite spectacular to watch the waterfront activity while enjoying the quiet and calm of a nice brewery space. The food was good, and the beer was decent. The mixed drinks I had were better than the beer in my opinion, but overall a great experience.
