Bjerck Restaurant & Bar Bergen

Menu looked great, but execution was a 5 out of 10. Slow, thoughtless service.

I ordered the lunch menu consisting of a dry croissant (could have found a better one in any convenience store) dipped in plain strawberry marmalade, the avocado toast was plain and tasteless, the omelette with cheese was cold, the chicken toast didn't come with any sauce making it dry and the smoothie was comparable to such for toddlers. Overall an aesthetic assemble of mediocre and overpriced food. My friend's fish and chips was significantly better but still nothing to celebrate. The tables are placed really close to each other, making it feel like a canteen with good views. Really disappointed.

This lunch omelet brunch set is great value and delicious, especially the trout toast. The croissant pair with berry jam gives surprise! I would love to try their wine next time.

All dishes were very creative and using good quality materials! The sauce for the veal steak was super tasty and well balanced. The cod steak was also creamy and flavorful. The view from the second floor was also nice!

We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. We had the Salmon and halibut ceviche, followed by the Pasta with chicken fillet and the Chicken fillet. Everything was really good. We were a little bit early, which was absolutely no problem. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We can recommend the Bjerck.

What an awesome spot! It was a tip from a friend who lives here to come and enjoy Bjerck and yes we did. We had an amazing brunch and excellent dessert. Perfect late lunch spot and I can imagine that it’s even nicer for dinner. The best thing about this place, however, was everyone working there!

During a short stop in Bergen, we stopped at Bjerck for an early dinner. Restaurant is in a good location at the pier with window seating providing a nice view. We took the risotto and hamburger, both were tasty and plentiful. You also get some bread with butter before receiving your main. Their lager beer from draft not local (Carlsberg) Mayonnaise costs extra 20kr… overall price of food and drinks on expensive side.

Sumptuous dinner, each dish delights the taste buds, the truffle pasta was delicious and big serving. Desserts were amazing, we loved everything. Lovely amaretto sour. The chefs were incredible. Service was topnotch. Reasonably priced. Stunning view by the window of Bryggen and Torgallmeningen.
