Slate Cafe NoMad
Mainly a Cafe placeAbout Slate Cafe NoMad:
Modern, petite counter-order spot for coffee, breakfast bites & sandwiches, plus beer & wine.
Popular cafe with lot of food and coffee options. I really liked the drip they had — the toaster was Caffe Vita (never tried them before). Great place for chatting, not for doing work.
Such a cute place! A friend recommended it and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the dijon chicken pea salad sandwich which came with some Arugula. My friends gets a turkey sandwich and the salmon with egg. We ordered inside then grabbed a table outside and the staff brought out everything. Overall service was great, fair prices and everything was clean
I had an Americano very nice! The sweet toast is delicious! The bagel was as it should be for New York. The bacon on the breakfast sandwich was done to perfection! Very quick service and very professional.
I recently spent some time at State Cafe and had a delightful experience. The sandwich I ordered was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The coffee was also good, providing just the right pick-me-up. One of the highlights of State Cafe is its ambiance. It’s an ideal spot to work, with a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating. The open window offers a great view of the bustling streets, making it a perfect place to watch people go by while getting some work done. Overall, State Cafe NYC combines excellent food and coffee with a pleasant, productive environment.
one of the best black coffee I’ve ever had. Great cafe to get delicious breakfast. It was crowded but the service was quick and we found seats immediately. We had Salmon and egg sandwich (the bread was insanely good) and the Avocado whites sandwich. We’ll definitely be back whenever we visit NY.
Quick visit to grad a drink, ordering was simple and fuss free and we were in and out under 5 minutes on a busy Sunday. Free water was nice touch and prices seemed reasonable across the board.
A decent place with a a good menu, the food was delicious and portions are decent. But what really impressed us they served food in 3 or 4 minutes, very quick. They don’t have a lot of space and tables but overall place is good
A nice little spot for a quick bite. I was here around 10am on a Saturday for brunch. It wasn't too busy, perhaps 75% capacity. Was able to order quickly and grab a counter spot. The food and latte were overall reasonable. They forgot I had ordered two extra eggs for the avocado toast so they had to bring them out separately about 5 minutes after the toast. The avocado toast was slightly on the small side -- to my mild surprise, but then I recalibrated my expectations because the price was relatively lower than toasts I've gotten at other Manhattan spots. The honey was a somewhat interesting twist, but I think slightly too much -- the sweet honey was a little too strong. Nevertheless I give a 4 ⭐ for all areas.
