Cute Cat Cafe (NOT a cat cafe!)
Mainly a Coffee shop placeAbout Cute Cat Cafe (NOT a cat cafe!):
Small, warm cat-centric cafe for breakfast & lunch fare plus coffee & latte drinks & desserts.
June 2024: While looking for a new coffee place to go to while working on computer I decided on CCC. Good reviews and lots of tables. Took a chance and glad I did. Will definitely be back! The one thing to note, they do not have AC. Their back and front doors were open and they have fans and today was warm but inside it was comfortable. So if you must have AC, it won't be available here. The women behind the counter today were super nice and brought my bagel to me. Nice touch. Highly recommend this little coffee shop.
This is not a cat cafe. You use some community cats living in backyards to lure customers on the pretense you care for them. You don’t. You feed them a bit and that’s about it. Every cat living outside needs to be vaccinated and spayed or neutered but you don’t provide any of that and make it difficult for those who offer help in that regard. I did trap the mom and kitten yesterday in the yard next door because you didn’t allow me to do so at the outdoor space of the cafe. Now the cats will receive the medical care they need that you failed to provide while you claim to care for them. Those are not your cats. They are community cats cared for by other people who live on that block and feed them in their yards as well. According to nyc law every cat needs to be vaccinated against rabies and owned cats who are not fixed are not allowed outside. If you try to claim you own them then you can be fined for not following those laws. If you wanna run cat cafe you need special permit but you don’t wanna pay for that. You use those cats to make money for your business as customers think this is a cat cafe. It isn’t. There was another cat last year that was not neutered or vaccinated and had wounds from scratching due to allergies. You didn’t take him to vet. We did. And we found him home because due to his allergies he shouldn’t be living outdoors. But you wanted to keep him to lure customers. So stop pretending you care for the cats. Shame on you.
I co-work here 1-2 times a week, and have always been met by the kindest staff members, especially the women who work the morning shift. It is a strange place, and that’s why I like it. There are always interesting conversations happening around me, and always a smile with my chai latte. Sometimes a weird cat wanders by, but never bothers me. It has its own work to focus on.
Kinga was great 🩷 & Manal was so sweeet !! me and my girls got our breakfast such a cute vibe in the yard they got a spot just for the stray cats .
It’s a shame that i have overlooked this place for so long , but i finally gave it a chance and this cute cat cafe is now my go to for coffee. The ladies are always sweet and welcoming, great atmosphere. Their decor is one of my favorites to look at. From a board of customers’ napkin art to cat pictures. Their coffee is always delicious, it’s always fresh, and the best flavor 🩷
A little bit confused about this place. I asked them if the turkey sandwich is a cold cut, and they said no. The sandwich came out and rest assured, it was one slice of a cold cut turkey. On top of that it wasn’t even heated up… What? I returned it and ask him to heat it up. The açaí smoothie tasted like water and banana. My friend ordered a chicken salad, and and specifically said twice that she does not want walnuts in it because she is allergic. Of course, it came out with walnuts.
This coffee shop is awesome! It has great food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of seating both inside and out and seems like an awesome place to do some work. The maple iced latte I had tasted really unique and I would recommend checking it out. If for nothing less than to try something new.
This place was mostly a disappointment… was with someone that wanted waffles and we ended up here. The atmosphere seemed good, decent options on the menu and decided to give it a try. Only thing that didn’t make it a 1-star is the service and good coffee. The CC Waffle had a few things except flavor. The waffle itself had a bit of a weird taste, even the strawberries were off, only thing that made somewhat tolerable was the nutella and banana, that’s it. Also ordered a deli style sandwich (not on the menu but said there was no problem making it but charged for each ingredient) got turkey, t-bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo. Individually charged for the turkey itself $3 and guess what… only put 1 thin slice of turkey… talk about paying over $15 and getting that… at least the everything bagel was good. Not a good experience and surely not coming back.
