Mainly a Ice cream shop placeAbout Caffè Italia:
"Delicious I recomend the best coffee Gelato breakfast pizza"
"Amazing service, amazing atmosphere, and very helpful staff."
"Lovely small coffee shop, good coffee and homemade gelato everyday."
Love this cafe ! The gelato is amazing and I love the atmosphere!! It’s a tiny slice of Italy on Long Island and brings me memories of my visit to Italy. I definitely recommend it
"I decided to check out Cafe Italia again today, about a year after my last visit. Honestly, it was kind of a disappointment. I remember their desserts being amazing, but this time around they didn't look so good. It's a shame, since I had such a great experience last time."
The short Italian man behind the counter was less than welcoming it would appear that the shortness goes beyond his height and is also present in how he deals with customers. I have never felt so unwelcomed by a business and have learned my lesson. His tone and manner in dealing with me was very rude. I care about this man deeply and will not do business with him in the future since it bothered him at such a deep level.
Went in for gelato and came out disappointed and empty handed. Rude, bald, small Italian man with a big round nose was working and had a terrible attitude. He got angry and snoody when my friend asked to try a flavor after trying a few and told him no. My friend didn't like any of the flavors he tried, and he wasn't allowed to try anymore apparently, so he left empty handed. I had already given him business by buying myself ice cream, so there was no reason to decline my friend's requests because they already got business. Call before you come to Cafe Italia, if a man answers the phone, chances are a snoody italian man will give you a terrible experience. I recommend going when Maria is working she's a very hard worker and gives you actual good proportions, whereas this small grumpy old man gives the smallest scoops as if he's saving it for himself for later.
Only rating tiramisu. Cup is better than the cake, but very chocolatey. The cake is a little dry and the flavor isn't as good as Mario's or Mulberry street.
Love this place.... love the flavors they have ...the ice cream is not that sweet that's what I like even more 😋 was my first time visiting and I definitely go back again and try more flavors!
Love this little cafe…some of the best cappuccino in the area and the gelato is really good too. We always stop in here when I’m the area and even make special trips there just because it’s great. They have a large selection of flavors for the coffees and nice selection of gelatos (for the warmer months). If you want milk alternatives they also have oat & almond milk which I think is great because even some restaurants don’t offer multiple milk options. This is a family owned shop and if you are a regular you are basically family. They know my father in laws order like the back of their hand and always welcome to u in with a warm smile. Can’t say enough about this place! Come support local business & family owned they are cool people.
The best place I have been to for Gelato since being in Italy! Each flavor I sampled was absolutely amazing. I settled for 4 different scoops and I can’t wait to go back. We first had a lobster tail dessert and espresso. Both were made to perfection! The he top flavors for gelato were caramel, Baci, Reese’s and an amazing chocolate with an orange syrup that was out of this world! Isabella served us with a passionate personality and style! We walked out with tubs of gelato and loaves of bread. Worth the trip from wherever you are!!!
