I had their espresso tonic, and really enjoyed their ice coffee menu options during summer. It's always nice to visit during summer where you can sit not only inside but also outside.
This specific cafe is the firstly opened shop of the brand Fuglen. Vintage Scandinavian objects and furnitures that represent the brand’s identity can be spotted everywhere. The coffee taste good, especially the canned cold brew coffee tonic.
While I wouldn't claim they're the best coffee shop in the world, their dedication to quality is impressive. As the first customer of the day, I watched the barista meticulously adjust the grinder five times to brew me the perfect espresso. Their commitment to crafting an excellent cup is evident, and it's clear they take their coffee seriously. Besides, When I mentioned that Tim Wendelboe's espresso wasn't as good as I expected, the barista explained they change beans weekly. This rotation keeps their offerings fresh and diverse, though it may lead to some variability in taste. It's clear this barista takes the coffee seriously and are knowledgeable about his craft as well as others’👍
We went on a busyness trip to Oslo, and I promised my friend to introduce him to specialty coffee. I couldn’t think of any better place than Fuglen. The espresso, flat white, and filter coffees were outstanding, the barista was super friendly, very knowledgeable and super skilled. It was a delight to spend the morning there and I also loved the pastry.
Flat white was 6/10, pretty average. Matcha latte was 3/10, lots of unstirred lumps. The place is cozy but gets cramped with wet dogs and people who use the coffee shop as their office. Didn’t expect to get asked for tips.
Had double espresso and latte here on 8/5/24, was good. Always good to have a coffee break in this chilly weather of 13°C
The café has a very pleasant atmosphere, and we didn't want to leave. However, there was one downside – the restroom was broken, and no one informed us about it. If you want to take photos of the interior, make sure to arrive right at the opening time. The coffee and pastries were average, but the ambiance makes this place a must-visit.
World’s famous fuglen coffee and we are here! Husband Had cappuccino and also a coconut bread. Both were on point and atmosphere was nice!
