Loved this place! Very clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a pancake with cream and jam.

Super nice café in the middle of the mountain...! Not a lot of options, but what they had was excellent, and with very nice service. Great stop in the middle of a rainy hike ☔

Skomakerstuen café is a short walk from the funicular (Fløibanens) Fløyen station, but we wisely stopped here before the Sunday crowds arrived. Along with offering good coffee, Danish, and cake (from a limited menu), the recent (built in 2020) café has a cozy vibe. Large windows to view Lake Skomakerdiket; long wood tables; wood seats covered with long-hair sheepskin (presumably real) for comfort and warmth on cooler days. Pity the café is apparently open only on weekends/holidays and only for about five hours (11am-4pm). Travelled in mid-August 2024

The most beautifully designed café I have ever seen overlooking the beautiful lake, Skomakerdiket. This is just a 15-minute walk from Floibanen's top station. My husband and I had a cup of tea and shared a pancake before starting our main hike. They have a little station where you can put whatever toppings you like on your pancake like jams, butter, and sour cream. There are two restrooms outside, as well as picnic benches. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Love love love! Totally gorgeous scenery and nordic decoration with a lovely fireplace inside. Service was lovely we tried the brown Norwegian cheese at the counter it's really sweet! Muffins and cookies are gluten free ❤️ Chill here with an oat latte & muffin after hiking in the Norwegian forest

Couldn’t believe there was a cafe on top of a mountain, a 10-minute walk from anything. We wanted espresso but only filtered coffee was available.

Delicious pancakes with sour cream and jams, excellent filtered coffee. The place is lovely, surrounded by trees and a nice lake, and the service was very friendly.

Most delicious pancakes and jam in the hyggiest setting. A well deserved snack after or before a hike. Try the brown cheese, I was a skeptic and it was pretty good.
