Delicious hot dogs!! We were recommended this place by a tour guide and are glad we stopped by. We had the reindeer and frankfurter sausages. Love the crispy onions and condiments on top.
Came here from some recommendations online and was very pleased! I ordered the reindeer sausage dog and loved the flavor of the hot dog itself, but the added crunchy onions wade the whole thing! My mom ordered the chili something dog and she loved that one more than mine, but I preferred mine. The chili one had a kick of spice to it and had mustard and crunchy onions on it. Glad we came here!
If you're in Bergen and you want to try really great sausages, that's the spot. For a price starting from 95 NOK, you'll get a huge and delicious sausage in a bun with a topping. We've tried the reindeer meat and the classic one with cheese - both were amazing. Very quick service, they accept payment with credit card I really recommend it. You should try it.
Went twice in two days. First time was more curt service second time very friendly when they weren’t so busy maybe. Got free lemonade second time too. Got reindeer and game - preferred reindeer one. To be honest, if you told me they were regular dogs and the same product I wouldn’t argue. Couldn’t really tell. Good snap. Wonderful they open very late!
Must visit in Bergen! Super tasty hotdogs, served from a wee hole-in-the-wall establishment. Great range of meats and flavours, including wild game and reindeer (yum!), as well as a variety of toppings and condiments. Big portion sizes too. We were served by a lovely gentlemen who had great recommendations of what sauces etc paired best with each meat.
You can't visit Bergen without trying this place. You'll never want to eat a regular hotdog again that's for sure. Had the reindeer and regular with toasted onion, mustard and the jam. Such a good dog and very cool place.
We had seen reviews of this iconic sausage stand on you tube and online and wanted to give it a try. We asked for the best seller and we got the reindeer sausage with berries, fried onions, mustard and ketchup. It was delicious. The service was super friendly and there was only a very short wait when we were there( 11.30am). It would have been nice if there had been an awning to stand under to protect us from the rain. We ended up standing outside the convenience store across the street. This is a definite must try when you are in Bergen. Enjoy!!
This was our very first stop in our 17 day cruise through Norway and what a fun and tasty way to begin the journey. A friend of mine told me that I absolutely had to try the traditional Norwegian "pølse med lompe" which is a hot dog wrapped in a soft potato flatbread. I was really looking forward to it so I asked a local for a recommendation and without hesitation he pointed me to Trekroneren. He said to look for the place with the longest line and he was definitely right. The stand was busy with both locals and tourists and had a great energy around it. Unfortunately the traditional hot dog I was hoping for was not available when I visited but the woman working there was very kind and recommended the reindeer hot dog instead. I decided to try it and it was delicious. Mine came topped with fresh chopped onions fried onions and a sweet lingonberry sauce which added a really nice contrast to the smoky rich flavor of the sausage. Both of my kids had the regular hot dog with ketchup and they both finished every bite which is always a good sign when traveling with young children. My husband ordered the bacon and cheese hot dog and he really enjoyed it as well. The toppings were generous and everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly and helpful and even with a steady line of customers the staff took time to answer questions and offer suggestions. It felt like a very welcoming spot and the food definitely lived up to the recommendations. We are so glad we stopped here and would definitely return. A perfect quick bite that gives you a little taste of Norway right in the heart of Bergen.
