Ridderen Restaurant

Way to expensive for what you get. True, my mouth is very happy when I eat here, but my stomach is not. After eating here, and paying way more then normal, I still want to go an other restaurant, because I am still hungry! The restaurant is in a old potato basement, but it is just painted white with some decoration. It looks a bit cold.

The portion sizes were very small, the food was hard to consume, and our waiter was racist. When speaking of his travels to New Zealand he spoke badly of people of Chinese descent. We were pretty shocked. This visit was in September of 2018. I forgot to review, and when recently telling our horror story to someone else, I realized I should have reviewed this restaurant a while ago. That, and it was too expensive. However, even if the price, portion sizes, and food were all fixed, we won’t be back. We do not tolerate behavior like that.

Highly recommended if you want great quality food with great taste! Spent our 1 year wedding anniversery here. I had the 4-course meal and my husband went for the 6-course meal. The waitress was very professional and explained each dish and wine in a good and tempting way. We had the winepackage with it, which heighetened our experience. We are for sure coming back here! Thank you for a lovely time. My husband is a big eater (he`s a muscular man) and he left this restaurant with a full stomach after a 6 course meal.

I had a very tasteful dinner. They have a good chef in the kitchen. And also a nice atmosphere and kind and professional staff.

Excellent food, and wine list. Well worth the visit. If you can, select the 5 or 7 course menu.

Fantastic service and food! We had a reservation and it was ready when we arrived, 20 minutes too early. Got served an appetizer and freshly baked rolls and the main course was amazing.

구글맵스 평가 보고 갔는데 과연 많은 사람이 추천한 만큼 맛있고 분위기도 좋았습니다. According recommendations of Google Maps, I choose this restaurant for my first meal in Bergen. It is quite tough to find entrance of restaurant, because the road was under construction. Even this difficulty, I was totally satisfied with foods and mood. Especially, deer steak was fantastic! Deer steak was cooked by sous-vide, so it was really smooth. Starter was also nice.

My parents and I were celebrating my mother´s 70th birthday with a trip to Bergen. Unfortunately we ended up in this beautiful restaurant. Drinks and starters were fine. And the service was nice to us. From then on everything went down. We kept waiting on the table trying to catch the waitress´ attention. Eventually she did come to us and left with the order for main courses and desserts to never come back again. in the end we had to paid what we had had and leave with not even an apology. It is fair to say that this was their second day running and that other customers appeared to be friends. I understand they do not give full attention to tourists but it was very unfair to us. Especially on that day.
