Clarion Hotel Bergen

The hotel is in a great location near the marina, the UNESCO world heritage buildings, and the Mt. Floyen funicular. Rooms were clean but a little tired with some outlets that didn't work. One of our 2 rooms was significantly larger than the other (both faced the marina in the back of the hotel) but both had enough space for our needs. ||Front desk staff was very helpful with info & calling a taxi for us. Breakfast had a good variety of items - you choose your breakfast time slots at check in, which managed the crowd.||All in all, a good stay.

Appalling service ; we had booked hotel many months in advance. Arrived 3 hours before check in : left our cases as our room ‘was not ready yet ‘according to the receptionist. We returned on time to be told the hotel was overbooked and they were sending us to another hotel . Strange as the people served before us and after us got their rooms no issue. Makes you wonder if bulk booked rooms are given priority ( we booked through booking.com). Girl at reception said she had no authority to help us but there was no one else more senior to assist us. Awful experience . Shoddy hotel and service.

This is a lovely hotel in the city center. You can walk most anywhere from here. The rooms are very roomy and the bathrooms are similar to what one finds in Italy. The breakfast is good and has a great variety. While on a tour of Scandinavia...this was our favorite hotel of our trip.

Enjoyed a short weekend and stayed in a family room which was very comfortable and spacious for 4 people. Only had breakfast one day during our stay and it was plentiful and delicious. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant —from front desk to dining to room cleaning. ||Found the town a bit chaotic but the hotel was quiet and relaxing, even with huge tour bus groups in and out.

This was a lovely hotel. The room was spacious and had extra beds, even though it was just me (an error in our booking)! It is located centrally adjacent to Bryggen. Their breakfast buffet is lovely. We were staying during the Euro 2024 championship so it was nice to be able to watch the semifinals at the hotel, without having to go far. And the hotel staff helped me when I requested a sewing kit to take care of some medical matters.

The location is very good. We had a junior suite and hence the size of the room is also great. Good breakfast spread. But the rooms needed some maintenance. Some lights were not working and so were some shower faucets. |The reception team is very good and guided us well

A very clean, quaint hotel in a great location in town. I was in Bergen at the start and end of my trip so I stayed in two separate rooms, both were clean, comfortable, fairly decently sized, though the second one was significantly larger than the first. Bathroom was stocked with shower essentials. Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast had a good variety of items, most were good. Breakfast time slots were given at check in to avoid large crowds at the same time but honestly no one was checking if you were coming at the right time so it was merely a suggested time that was not strictly enforced and did a good job at managing the flow of people.

Very central location on a quiet side street just blocks from main tourist areas. Comfortable, clean well appointed rooms. Very friendly front desk staff. Waffles on the counter top was a nice treat. Good easy wifi to connect to. Really varied and plentiful breakfast spread.
