Mainly a Art museum placeAbout Bergen Kunsthall:
Contemporary-art museum with educational events & works from international artists.
Very small. Not worth the entry fee
The exhibition space to watch for large, contemporary exhibitions. Well run, just don't eat or drink in the restaurant which is a place to avoid if you have a discerning palate or a taste for traditional wines. A must-see exhibition space if you're following the art scene.
As of now, there is an exhibition focusing on sound. I don't really like contemporary art and I probably wouldn't visit if I hadn't the tickets from KODE but I think it was worth my time. The first room is best experienced in almost a silence. Take time in the room and observe how the sound reacts to the ambient noise. Try clapping loudly. Similarly in the last room. Take your time, don't rush, observe what comes. You might come in between the interesting parts.
Historic collection or arts and artefacts that represent iconic Bergen. It was a treat as a tourist and very educational.
Currently a sound installation by Camille Norment that I had seen previously in NYC. Just in awe of this group of fantastic museums in Bergen. Very impressive.
A good artistic experience in the city centre amidst the nature and exploration. However the exhibition was rather small (only one and a half) and was hoping for more installations and works. Definitely pop by the shop with great literature and cafe to just relax
Wow - 2 interesting works at display. Both my teenage kid and I was intrigued
