Clarion Hotel Bergen Airport

We are staying at this hotel a weekend in August. When arriving at the airport, we turned left after exiting the terminal building and walked over to the hotel. We were met by enthusiastic receptionist with the name Kemer. He informed us that he had upgraded our room due to our status in the loyalty program for Strawberry hotels. Our room was 423 which was a large room with double bed, sofa, coffeemaker, bathtub, shower etc. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had everything we could wish for. There were for instance many different options for eggs, sausages, potatoes, tomato. We will definitely come back next time in Bergen. Fun fact: there is a light rail connection between the terminal building and the city center. This takes 40 minutes and costs 47 Norwegian kroner.

Amazing stay and great food in the Bistro. Quick check in, great room, lovely breakfast and very friendly employees. It's a quick walk to the terminal and breakfast is served as of 4am. Great.

Hotel is at such location from where airport is 100m and bus stop is 150m. We booked this as it offered free parking and great view. We drove from Sweden to Bergen and stayed here for 2 night. Hotel staff was really friendly helped us with parking our SUV at the safe place. Breakfast and meal are great and you have good choices for vegetarians and non vegetarians too. Hotel has gym, and kid friendly area too.

The hotel is located a short 5 minute walk to the airport terminal, therefore very convenient if you have an early morning flight. Staff very helpful and polite and on my visit aided in addressing a booking issue. Restaurant offering a variety of food. Breakfast included which dependant on time was either cold or hot. Rooms are comfortable and an adequate size.

We stayed one night in this modern delightful hotel with its open areas, great views of the airport, large open plan restaurant and bar and friendly efficient reception staff. Located about a ten-minute walk from the terminal along concrete pathways past the rental car area it was the only and obvious place to stay overnight. We arrived on the 45 minute (44 nok) tram ride from Bergen railway station and then rented a car the next day. Our room was quite small and a bit gloomy, but had a desk, an easy chair, a comfortable double bed, hanging space, a shower, big screen TV, good wi-fi, hair drier and a fridge stocked with a minibar. It had an iron and ironing board but no tea or coffee facilities. We ate an evening meal in the hotel and the food quality and portion size (and service) were good. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice. I enjoyed great views of landing and taxiing aircraft from the restaurant! We paid £129 for bed and breakfast.

Convenient for early morning flight. Super huge buffet breakfast with lots of hearty or healthy options and large seating area. Restaurant was convenient but nothing special. Had a large spacious corner room with couch and sunset view of tarmac, so fun to watch planes.|Glassed in bathroom was weird as there is NO privacy as far as sights or sounds. Very awkward! Super quick and easy walk to airport! Would recommend - except for the bathroom situation! ;)

This is a basic airport hotel but it's clean and convenient. It is a bit of a walk from the terminal though. The absolute highlight was the breakfast! It'll get you ready for anything you have planned. Very nice staff. We arrived after midnight and were warmly welcomed.

Positives: good breakfast selection, positive restaurant staff, close walk to airport. The rooms are also bigger than other hotels in Bergen. Negatives: front desk staff was quite unhelpful. We tried to check in and were immediately told that our 3 rooms had not been paid for. I called our credit card company and booking agents and confirmed that everything was paid in full. The front desk staff checked again and found that she had not checked the right site. Everything was in fact paid in full. Apparently this had happened several times so not sure why this mistake was not rectified. We then asked what was the best way to get to the airport for an early morning flight as we had lots of luggage. We were told to go to the airport to retrieve some trolleys and store them in our rooms overnight and walk them to the airport the next morning. Not ideal if you have elderly travel companions or more than a few bags!
