Read the recent reviews... Something has changed over the last year and the food is terrible now. We ordered a pizza and it arrived at our table in about 5 minutes. It had been made and cooked days previously and then steamed to warm it up. It was rubbery, stale and tasted blah. Just pass this one by.
Really had high hopes for this neighborhood place. The pizza was terrible. It was probably the worst pizza I have had in a long time. We love to support local places when we travel. I really wanted to love this restaurant but in all honesty I cannot recommend the pizza here at all. Maybe it was just an off day.
Food was OK, the larrabiata penne is not to be recommended, but the other pasta we had was pretty decent. What stands out here is the service. Tremendous. Massive respects to the chef/server/owner(?) who seemed to run a whole restaurant alone and also able to be attentive to guests. Very impressive.
pasta just like i expected , so yummy… and pizza also quite nice. the owner are very funny also warm and the price are pretty affordable since everything are expensive in norway.
Delicious pizza & owner was very generous with dessert! Recommended!
Okay, I understand reviews here, and owner really “kind” but for me it looks like he just buying reviews with free sweets, but I would recommend him to learn how to cook food, coz it was so bad that not deserve to be served to people, grilled chicken was literally over fried in oil few days ago, I could break it with my hands as a dried bread (despite grilled chicken was just 1 piece of half leg..), pasta was reheated not tasty also… So my opinion it easy to give free sweets when ur main food so bad and cost nothing… so I just suggest you to skip this place if you wanna eat something, and don’t be misleading by reviews
Very cozy and warm restaurant. We went there on a whim late on a Sunday night, and there weren’t many people—just a group of regulars drinking and chatting. The food was pretty good. The seafood pasta wasn’t quite as good as what we had in Italy, but the spaghetti Bolognese was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We even got a free gelato from the owner! We’ll definitely come back next time.
What a wonderfully quirky restaurant! We came here on the strength of its super reviews and were not disappointed. Our pizzas reminded me of those I had as a student in 1990s Leeds, that opened my eyes to the wonder of pizza in the first place. Bella Paris, like those early Leeds pizzerias, specialises in relatively unusual topping combinations prepared with love and served with care and attention. One man seemed to be doing everything and was doing it very well. I thoroughly recommend this place.
