Palermo
Mainly a Pizza restaurant placeAbout Palermo:
Cozy, casual joint dishing up hearty Italian eats, including thin-crust pies, baked pasta & subs.
Very enjoyable meal in a casual atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helped us decide what to order. Will return again!
We went to Palermo last week as its in between NYC and North Jersey - so a perfect meeting point. Everyone in my group initially said - we are travelling 45 minutes to go to a takeout pizza place - but within 15 minutes of being there - eveeryone's gut instincts were changed The service was fabulous - the kid serving was in his early 20's and he was so invested in getting everything we wanted and answering all questions - that I swore he was the owner or the owner's son. Their menu is very broad and diverse - calling it a Pizza Place would be doing it a dis-service. EVERYTHING we had was terrific - from the Clams Oreganata to the Veal Milanese and of course the Chicken Parmesan. In talking to Nino on the way out, I found out they have been around for 45 years - and after a great night of dining out, their success is well deserved
My experience here was amazing! Nino took care of us and welcomed us in as if we were family. We just landed from Texas and this was our first place to go eat at and while they were supposed to be closed, he stayed open for us and did not rush us out. I love this place and made some great memories here. The pizza….was sooooo good!!! The tiramisu was….sooooo good!!! Highly recommend this place!
Palermo's is a solid pizza spot offering decent slices at a decent price. Ordered two pepperoni slices and two zeppoles. The pepperoni was definitely added to an already cooked plain slice which is fine. I just personally prefer it cooked when the pizza is made but that's just a personal preference. It's not a bad slice per say but I personally prefer a sweeter sauce. This is a more oregano forward slice if you like it that way. Moving on to the zeppoles, they were freshly made and delicious. Pillowly just the way I like it. As for the service, it's quick and prompt. They even serve beer! Not everyday you see a neighborhood pizza spot serving beer. The atmosphere is like an old school Italian pizza spot definitely has a sense of nostalgia.
The Unफेंक Reviewer Amazing pizzeria with great beers in North Bergen Budget friendly for people staying at Airbnbs Great desserts too Family owned and operated… really helpful too It is in the vicinity of other restaurants and shops for a fun night
In my years of eating pizza, they make the best ones. It’s cheesy and is a very delish looking and a pizza that is worth eating. The cheese stretches and it is chewy. The owner is very nice to his customers. Best pizza place I ever went to!
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with roasted bell peppers, mozzarella, and balsamic vinaigrette on toasted bread. What I got was a burned sub. They have got to get better.
For over 15 years I've been ordering from this place. It is very disappointing to see that the quality of food has been decreasing. Ordered a fettuccine alfredo and a spaghetti with meatballs (the meatballs are so horrible). The food feels like it's been microwaved. *To the owner, please fix this food quality issue. I respect you too much and it's so sad to see your amazing resturant become this low. Hopefully you can turn things around!
